Thought Experiments

Go here for the Thought Experiments. Have a play with some of them. Almost all are relevant to something in AS or A2. If you are currently an AS student, I want you to pay particular attention to Talking With God: The Euthyphro Dilemma - because we're going to be talking about that one. If you are currently an A2 student, I want you to pay particular attention to: Peter Singer and the Drowning Child. Finally, whoever you are, have a go at Staying Alive and note down whether you lived or died (and why)

Oxford Philosophy Lecture Videos - PHIL2

Enjoy!

Another Philosophy Blog

This is even more specific to somew of the stuff we do in AS / A2. So...

A Philosophy Blog

This blog has a fair bit of detail but not too scary... might be worth looking around to see if someone's spin on Philosophy helps your spin on it...

Ron Paul vs MIchael Moore

Here's Ron Paul's take on Health Care (useful focus on Rights and Capitalism / Free markets)

Ron Paul as Mill?

Here former American presidential candidate Ron Paul is discussing views similar to those of Mill in On Liberty. You can tell he's read Mill.

Taxation Is Theft?

Ok, he's a bit odd (actually, he's a lot odd) but the principles are there to be analysed.

John Stuart Mill: A Life

There is an excellent Radio programme here about Mill... you need to listen to this before you start reading On Liberty
